Beautiful mountainous views are visible from every room at Biallid House, which lies in Britain's largest National Park. This large holiday cottage has seven bedrooms and comfortably sleeps up to 15. It is perfect for group celebrations or family holidays.
The dog friendly house is situated at the end of a sweeping private drive, and can comfortably accommodate guests for a short break, longer summer holidays or a special occasion. There are two large living rooms in the house, and the elegant dining area has a table that easily seats up to 12 for casual meals or five course banquets. Just a short walk from Biallid House is the pretty Scottish Highland village of Newtonmore, which has a variety of shops and restaurants to tend to all the family's needs and desires. There are also two museums in the village, including one that celebrates the history of the Clan Macpherson. Here you can discover the romance, loyalty and valour of one of the last Jacobites. The second museum gives guests the chance to see how residents of the Highlands have lived and prospered over the last few centuries.

Due to its excellent location in the Cairngorm National Park, Biallid is the ideal base for a number of country pursuits and outdoor adventures. There are excellent trails to be discovered for walkers with the Wildcat Trail, which is easily accessed in Newtonmore, being one of the favourites. Cyclists can head to Laggan Wolftrax, while water sport enthusiasts will find everything they need at the Active Outdoor Pursuits Centre. Although many guests will feel these activities are only for those with experience, many will have something to offer both children and novices, so please do not be afraid to try your hand at something new when staying at Biallid, as these outdoor activities are often one of the best ways to see the incredible views and scenery.

For the youngsters visiting Newtonmore, see if you can spot the Wildcats hiding in the local gardens and on top of roofs as part of the Wildcat Experience. Finding them is a lot of fun, and you could win a prize. To see a real wildcat, take a drive to the Highland Wildlife Park, where a variety of animals live, including the UK's only polar bears.

Just 3 miles down the road is the Newtonmore Riding Stables that are able to offer rides out across the Scottish Highlands. The centre has a number of horses available to suit all sizes and abilities, and guests can be as hands on with the horses as they like. Biallid also has fishing rights on the River Spey and River Calder, as well as good connections in the community for guests wishing to experience hunting and shooting in the Highlands.
